Harry Boodah current stuff...
April 2006 - Works by Mark Taylor from the Harry Boodah project have been chosen to be included at the 2006 Signal + Noise festival. This year's festival takes place on April 27, 28 and 29th, 2006 at Video In Studios in Vancouver, BC. Dates and times TBA. The work selected is an excerpt of the Harry Boodah project's "One Body, One Soul?".
March 2006 - Coriograph Theatre's Production molt starts off a Spring 2006 Canadian tour with March tour dates in Calgary, Edmonton, and Banff. For tour details please refer to the Coriograph Theatre web site. Harry Boodah was commissioned to compose the original score for molt (formerly fOXYMORONIC) a one-hour modern dance solo, performed and choreographed by Cori Caulfield. The original music by Mark Taylor includes Spoken Word by Caulfield and Myra Davies, projections by Tim Matheson, costumes by Gary Dahlm, etc., and design by Jonathan Ryder.
February 2006 - Mark Taylor of Harry Boodah has been invited to participate in a Residency at The Banff Centre for the Arts as a part of the Performing Arts Residency program in Theatre Arts. He will be attending the Residency in the last week of February and the first week of March 2006. Taylor has also received a travel grant from the Canada Council for the Arts in February.
December 2005 - The Firehall Arts Centre Presents 5IVE SOLOS LATER, December 7 - 10, 2005. Emerging choreographer Amber Funk Barton dances in commissioned work from choreographers, Wen Wei Wang, Emily Molnar and Cori Caulfield and sets two of her own works on dancers Lina Fitzner and Karissa Barry. The music for the Cori Caulfield work was a commissioned piece created by Harry Boodah.
November 2005 - Cori Caulfield's entrancing new solo molt will be presented in excerpt at a FREE SHOWING as part of Dance in Vancouver at 4:00 PM - 5:30 PM on Saturday November 19, 2005 at the Ferris Studio Theatre on the first floor of the Scotiabank Dance Centre, 677 Davie Street, Vancouver BC. Original music for the show was composed by Mark Taylor of Harry Boodah. The programme also includes performances by Science Friction Productions, Sharon Wehner Dance and Mascall Dance so it should be an excellent show. Admission is free but please note seating is limited. For more information, please see the molt web site. NB an additional showing for Cori Caulfield's “molt” excerpt has been added on Friday November 18, 2005 at 7:00 PM - 7.30 PM at Dance in Vancouver. Sharon Wehner Dance will also be performing.
September 2005 - ICTV has condensed the 2005 Wearable Art Show into a one hour program that will air on Friday Sep. 23rd at midnight and again the following Friday Sep. 30th at midnight on local cable stations in the Fraser Valley area. They will also be shooting hosting segments for Tri-Cities Magazine at the event and will air some of the interviews they shoot in prime time. Tri-Cities Magazine is scheduled to run Monday Sep. 26th at 10:30 AM and 10:00 PM as well as Tuesday Sep. 27th at 10:00 AM. This show will run again the following week in the same time slots. The soundtrack for the show is comprised of Harry Boodah's music.
August 2005 - Harry Boodah's music will be used for the upcoming 2005 Wearable Art Show in Port Moody, BC. in Sept 2005 - Most of this music is from a new CD that will be released in Fall 2005 and has not been heard in public before, there are a couple of pieces that were composed and/or arranged for this show and a couple of pieces from a previous show, the rest are works from the upcoming CD.
April 2005 - Harry Boodah was commissioned to compose an original score for Coriograph Theatre's Production molt (formerly fOXYMORONIC) one-hour modern dance solo, performed and choreographed by Cori Caulfield. Also provided music and sound technical production. - Premiered in April at the Firehall Arts Theatre in Vancouver, BC, The original music by Mark Taylor included text and voice over by Caulfield and Myra Davies, projections by Tim Matheson, costumes by Gary Dahlm, etc., design by Jonathan Ryder. ** will be touring in Canada in Spring 2006.
February 2005 - Harry Boodah commissioned to compose original music and sound technical production for a twelve-minute modern dance solo A Bed of Roses, performed by Amber Funk Barton and choreographed by Cori Caulfield. This piece will premiere in the Fall of 2005 info TBA.
